National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prof. Wale Oladipo, has declared that the party will win the forthcoming governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states.

EKiti state election is scheduled to hold 21 June, while Osun will hold on 9th of August 2014.

Oladipo made this statement in Ede during the party’s gubernatorial campaign on Saturday.

The ruling party scribe enjoined the party’s supporters in the two states to troop out on election days to vote for the party’s candidates.

Speaking at the rally, the PDP governorship candidate in Osun State, Iyiola Omisore, criticised the All Progressives Congress-led government for reversing the trend of education in the state and accused it of exhibiting nonchalant attitude to the over five-month strike embarked upon by the workers of state tertiary institutions.

Omisore said if voted as the governor he would return all the schools to their old curricula and the unified uniforms will be abolished to give the schools a sense of belonging.

The PDP gubernatorial candidate also said his government will develop Osun with a human face instead of destroying and demolishing people’s sources of income.

In his speech at the rally, the state chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa, said it was disheartening to see Osun was retrogressing, instead of progressing.

Olaoluwa admonished the people of the state to use their votes to send Aregbesola and the APC out of the state.
